Composition:

• Tamsulosin 0.4 mg (SR) (Sustained Release)

• Dutasteride 0.5 mg

Description:

TamZen D is a combination medication formulated to manage symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men. It contains:

• Tamsulosin, an alpha-blocker that relaxes prostate and bladder neck muscles for improved urine flow.

• Dutasteride, a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor that reduces prostate size over time.

This dual-action therapy provides immediate symptom relief while addressing the underlying cause of prostate enlargement.

Indications:

TamZen D is used for:

• Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH)

  • Relieves lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), including:

    • Difficulty urinating

    • Frequent urination, especially at night

    • Incomplete bladder emptying

  • Prevents acute urinary retention (AUR)

  • Reduces the need for BPH-related surgery

• Pregnancy & Handling Precautions:

• Blood Donation: Avoid donating blood during treatment and for 6 months after stopping to prevent exposure to pregnant recipients.

Side Effects:
